THE DESIGN PROCESS
Design Process & Fees
1. Consultation & Concept
• We begin with a one-on-one consultation to discuss your custom jewelry design, including ideas, price points, and materials.
• Once the design fee is agreed upon and processed, our design team will create your initial concept—typically within 72 hours.
2. Design Revisions
• Your satisfaction is our priority. If you’re not completely happy with the design, size, or cost, we’ll work with you on revisions until it perfectly meets your vision.
• We will not proceed until you are fully satisfied with the design.
3. Production
• After design approval, a 50% deposit is required to start production.
• Production typically takes 1–4 weeks, depending on the design’s complexity.
• The remaining balance is due upon notification of project completion.
4. Appraisal & Delivery
• Upon completion, your piece is sent to a third-party gemologist for a 72-hour appraisal.
• After final payment, your custom piece and appraisal documents are shipped via next-day delivery.
5. Payment Terms
• If full payment is not received upon notification of completion, a 25% stocking fee will be applied every 30 days.
• If the balance remains unpaid after three consecutive months, both the production deposit and the final product will be forfeited.
Starting Price & Final Quote
The price displayed is the starting price for the design shown and is not a final quote. Your final price is based on the finished specifications, including size, metal type and color, gemstone type, quality and quantity, dimensions, engraving, and finishing details.
Speak Easy Co will confirm the complete design and provide a final quote before custom work begins.
Design, Sizing & Personalization
Jewelry shown here is generally made to order, with sizing and customization confirmed during consultation rather than presented as standard website variants. If a specific finished piece is currently available, that status will be expressly identified and confirmed.
During consultation, we will determine sizing, metal, colorway, diamonds or gemstones, proportions, engraving, and personal details. The design shown serves as a starting point for your piece.
Consultation, Approval & Production
Select Start a Consultation to tell us what you like about this design and how you would like to personalize it. We will review options, confirm specifications, provide a final quote and estimated production timeline, and explain the required deposit or payment terms.
Production begins only after the design, price, and terms are approved.
Independent Third-Party Appraisal
When project timing permits, an independent third-party appraisal will be completed for the finished piece and included with your order.
Appraisal availability and timing will be confirmed before delivery. The appraisal reflects the completed piece and is separate from any gemstone grading report or warranty coverage.
Final Sale, Delivery & Care
Because every piece is made to your approved specifications, all custom jewelry is final sale and is not eligible for return or exchange. Please review our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy before approving your project.
Delivery timing, tracking, insurance, and any signature requirements will be confirmed for your order. Care guidance will be provided for the specific metals, gemstones, and finishes selected for your piece.
